The Budget Break Down: Where it all goes

We get asked by our clients all the time “Where should we be spending our money?” Truly every aspect of a wedding is important and where you choose to spend your money is ultimately a personal decision. However, we like to provide a breakdown so our couples have an idea on what percentage of your overall budget goes to each vendor. Feel free to use this or pass it on to a bride & groom who may find it handy!
50%         Ceremony and reception venues (if different) plus food, beverage, tax & gratuity
8%-10%Â Â Photography
5%-8%Â Â Â Â Videographer
5%-12%Â Â Florals including ceremony flowers, personal and centerpieces
2%-25%   Decor (lighting, fabric treatment, table linens, napkins, specialty chairs, custom dance  Â
                floor)
2%-15%Â Â Entertainment (ceremony, cocktail hour and reception)
5%Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Day-of planner (hired a few months before the wedding)
8%-15%Â Â Full design & service planner (usually as early as 18 months before a wedding or at the
                very least 6 months before)
5%-7%Â Â Â Â Dress, shoes make up and hair for the bride
4%-7%Â Â Â Â All your wedding stationery is included here (save the dates, invites, menus, programs, place cards, gift tags for favors, seating cards, etc.
1%-3%Â Â Â Â Transportation
1%-3%Â Â Â Â Â Hair & Makeup for bridesmaids
